Being, consciousness, existence, self-awareness.

Being, consciousness, existence, self-awareness.

It would be fair to say, a lot of philosophers, theologists, linguists, psychologists, neurologists and other accidental or deliberate ontologists have expended a great deal of time, thought, ink and small patches of electromagnetic difference on this topic.

The current secular physiological stand is roughly that a complex patternated network of neurons with differentiated potential transmission capabilities along the pathways within it, gradually forms in response to stimuli and that this is a knowledge representation of the world, in which the constant activity eventually also forms a representation of the self as part of this world-model. The relating of the self-portion of the model to the rest of the world-model, constantly necessitated through the interactive experience of agency (tocsin – reticulating actions in babies*) as part of this learning of the self), causes the emergent phenomenon we call consious experience.

This is of course a wholly self-referential system. As such it gives me some cause to question whether such a flying by pulling on ones bootlaces model is really sufficient to explain consciousness. Is it rather that the current theory just cobbles together the few bits of information it has into a partial theory that scientists hope is right and hope to be able to make more robust as more evidence, hopefully supporting it, comes along. Well of course it is, as that is what all scientific theories do. However, as such incomplete things, all scientific theories also have to suffer the slings and arrows of logical objections picking them apart, offering alternative explanations, and demanding a re-think. I present my slings, arrows and demand.

The self-referential emergence (I’ll shorten that to SRE) theory of consciousness does not really drill down into that nub of the question we all really want to get at: Who or what is it that experiences being? SRE just says, in effect, “It is me that experiences being me.” This kind of answer does not satisfy, me.

Generally wholly self-referential answers are deprecated in science, logic and philosophy. The whole thrust of these branches of enquiry is to constantly seek what the next underpinning layer is, with perhaps some vague vain hope that eventually there will be some irrefutably logical underlying truth. The secular scientists of today hope of course that this will not turn out to be some supreme deity forever beyond their understanding. That would bring a whole heap of consequences that society after thousands of years has only just managed to stop worrying about.
The problem is that firstly there is unlikley to be any end to the secular process of scientific burrowing because the answer would need to be sustained by logic and the question is then: “But what sustains logic?”

Are we to arrive at yet another self-referential answer – logic sustains logic? This would seem very unsatisfactory. Despite many attempts to burrow to the bottom, nothing more fundamental has yet been obtained.

We are given clues however. The problem is these clues point to the theistic explanation. One such clue is the etymology of the word we use “logic.” This greek word means “that which is spoken; the word.”

We are burrowing down to look for the bedrock, the underlying truth, the progenitor of being, the foundation upon which logic itself rests.

Let me tell you, anyone that is willing to hear to the (initially) difficult (in terms of personal and social consequences), THIS truth. We have arrived at the bedrock!

It is there written for all to see. Logic (the word) you seek. The spark of being that experiences consciousness you seek. The basic original progenitor you seek. Your answer was already written with absolute clarity by the man who was given all the answers 2000 years ago. He was told to tell them to us. His name was John and he tells you what he was told to tell you, then he tells you who he is, that he is just an ordinary man given a mission to hear the truth and pass it on, then he explains why people will find it hard to believe him. He does not say anything in this immediate answer part, about the consequences of you knowing this truth (that information comes later), he simply answers these ultimate existential queries that we all harbour.

John 1 King James Version (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

You can stop digging only if you are prepared to yield that there is a God, that God underpins everything, including space and time so you cannot ask what was before God or where did God come from. The answer is not however self-referential for us, as it refers us and our world to something beyond. It refers us to God. God may seem self-referential to God, but we cannot apply logic to God as God is logic.

If you seek some Biblical confirmation – you will find that important things are usually stated in the Bible more than once – I can refer you to:

Colossians 1:17 King James Version (KJV)
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

There are numerous cross-references of course:

John 8:58 “Truly, truly, I tell you,” Jesus declared, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Proverbs 8:22,23 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old…

Isaiah 43:11-13 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior…

1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, …

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Revelation 1:8,11,17 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, said the Lord, …

Psalm 75:3 The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up …

John 5:17,18 But Jesus answered them, My Father works till now, and I work…

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also …

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his …

Finally, why am I spending my time telling you this? Because all my nearly 60 years I have enjoyed having an enquiring mind. “Why, why, why?” has been my way of thinking. Finally God came into my life and supplied answers. Incredible answers. Answers to questions that everybody asks. Answers that can be very hard to beleive, but there they are anyway. Finding answers is joyful and it is my joy to share them. In Mathew 7:7 you find the famous “Seek and ye shall find” passage. Matthew actually tells you that if you seek answers from God, He will give you them. John actually told you the answers already because God knew you would ask those questions. There of course many other questions people have, some very philosophical, some personal, some socio-political, some moral and ethical, and some very scientific. Pretty-much the answers to these are actually already in the Bible, and usually in shockingly more detail than you might suppose.

Today, instead of being in Sunday morning church (usually I am but not today), I have instead read some Bible and chosen to pass on some information, in the hope it might bring joy, enlightenment and blessing into your life. I cannot think of a better thing to do with that freely given by God than to share it.

Enjoy Being as God intended.
God Bless You. Amen.

Death in cartoon motion

If you wish upon a star…

Hmm let’s see. Stand in the pentagram and make a wish. Ho hum, nothing satanic about that then.

So it’ll be OK to pump it out at the start of every movie then.

New Mac – old story

Oh dear, the new Mac Pro desktop is a lovely machine. No really it is and I would be happy to have one if I had silly amounts of extra cash and actually needed something that can do all that the new Mac can  However, the advertising for it is stuck in the usual hidden-in-plain sight satanic imagery rut that nearly everything is subjected to these days. Yeah, I know, its a sign of the times.

Demons erupt from someone’s body, tentacles come out of a book, freemasonry style platonic solids float around and alarming creatures aggressively fall to earth like lightning à la Terminator.

Is there not something more wholesome Apple could suggest people can do with those powerful computers? Do we have to use them to render nasty evil and satanic images? Come on Apple, nice product but how about leading on the spiritual front as well as on the design and technical eh?

What if reality is really a giant pinball game?

Never mind the matrix, if you can get security clearance (you will need a genuine reason like attending some sort of event there) take a walk through the Genome Campus at Hinxton, Cambridge, England.

There are numerous chromed spheres, each slightly tweaked to represent various stages of life. The one with a hole represents the stage at which it becomes apparent that we are coelenterates, a biological taxonomical classification meaning we have a gut that opens at the mouth and exits the other end.

The effect of this tableau of embryonic development is to make the long slopes, interspersed by post-modernist buildings, appear as a giant pinball machine, giving a slightly science-fiction sense of unease that things might just roll down and bowl one over or a huge flipper whack out of the sides.

Oldies like me will remember the blob thing in “The Prisoner” TV series. Well here in Hinxton Big brother definitely is watching and don’t even think what escaped chimera might just be lurking up the next level. Best enjoyed at dusk when it becomes eerily empty.

Brexit

So where are we now?

Well, most of my Christian friends are very pleased that we have voted to leave the EU. Bear in mind that few of them are inclined to doctrines of end-times and new world order conspiracies, and nor, to be frank, are many of them deeply politically and economically knowledgeable about world affairs. Notwithstanding this, many have stated that by voting for Brexit we have had a close shave and have just escaped by the skin of our teeth from something terrible. Many mentioned the prospect that Europe was contemplating a European Army and that we would have been dragged into wars we did not want to be part of. A small few have mentioned immigration, but that was, at least among my Christian friends, very few and not a very loud complaint. They were far more concerned about the centralization of power in the EU and the taking away of power from individual governments to make decisions based what their people want. Several feel that the EU is deliberately secularizing and is suppressing Christianity under the guise of promoting equality. I agree with them. For a long while I was going to vote remain, but the day before the vote I was led to vote leave. I am glad I did.

Pessimists said our economy would suffer if we left. Well initially they are right, we have seen a huge drop in our currency which is at the moment making all our imported things much more expensive. But hey! We should be EXPORTING and doesn’t that mean stuff we sell abroad just got cheaper? Sure they might put up trade barriers, but we will be able to negotiate new trade deals with countries we haven’t been allowed to by the EU. More export money coming in could offset the currency fall.

There are cynics that say the EU was very keen to keep us in and under their rules because they fear our leaving would be the first domino in the fall of their empire, and to keep us in check as the second or third largest of the two dozen or so EU states, right on their doorstep, we would otherwise be a terrifying competitor if our wings were not kept clipped by EU rules. Well I have news for Europe – and its no news at all – yes your empire is falling we are not he only ones that want freedom, and yes we will be again the competitor you have to see to believe.

Optimists said we would become more outward looking. Yes I see it happening at an amazing rate. I work for a large company and we have just bought a company in East Africa because we see huge development opportunities there. The BBC has announced many new World Service Radio stations in 19 languages. On our TV news we are now seeing regularly Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and South African news and culture that we hadn’t until now.

America has also had enough of it’s old deal, and say what you like, their new force in politics likes our new force in politics – Trump likes Farage, and Trump likes the UK. Trump says Europe must pay its way in NATO. The UK already does of course. That sits with the European Army that the UK won’t have to pay for and prop up now of course.

So here’s an optimistic reminder of things the UK has done in the past and positions we hold that are a good indicator of why we need have no fear that we will not be a huge success out of the EU in the future, and why the EU was so scared we would leave.

Symbolism in the NatWest advert

Fair use stills for review purposes:

IMG_0188.PNG

The children throw coins into a fountain. Ever heard of a wishing well? It’s an ancient pagan ritual. Occult.

IMG_0185.PNG

Ever heard of pennies for a dead man’s eyes. How sinister do you need?

IMG_0189.PNG

An octagon, in church symbology midway between heaven (the circle) and earth (the square) – why show the octagonal form of the fountain so clearly? Remember – in this 30 second commercial so there are no wasted shots.

IMG_0187.PNG

Oh that logo is a bit illuminating isn’t it. Three 6-sided cubes? 666?

Does NatWest have a monopoly on such symbolism? Hardly. One of its competitors has a dark horse that canters down through time like a death horseman of the apocalypse into a maternity ward.

Christians recognize these symbols. Our Lord reveals what is hidden in plain sight. The love of money is the root of all evil, the wages of sin is death. Now there is some money sense.

NWO-lympics!

Rio Olympics opening ceremony had images that resembled:

Projected evil eye with satanic “peace” sign (original crucifixion upside down teutonic rune of death) with added leaves (for pagan tree worship) appears centre of “iris” as fireworks make stadium appear as the eye.

Swastikas appear multiple times during the dance sequences video montage editing.

Single dancer also makes the sign of the swastika by placing his body in the position of a swastika crucifixion.

Plus ça change…

Mais dans ce cas…

As readers will know my head had been telling me to vote for the UK to remain in the EU. Well at the 11th hour that is not how I voted!

I asked the Lord how to vote.

He showed me Kings 2:8 (the waters parted). Then He showed me  Mark 15:38 (the veil of the temple torn in two from top to bottom). What the Lord was showing me is division, parting, but it is division that leads to a victorious crossing in each case. Then the Lord showed me Revelation 13:10 (If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go).

It seemed clear that the Lord was warning me that a vote to stay in was a vote to stay in captivity.

My wise wife had been saying all along that she would vote leave because the Lord was leading her in that, and that she thought Europe was one of the large territories that the Earth will be divided up into in the end times, and so was not a good thing to be part of. I remembered 2 Timothy 1:7 (For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind) and although my head said remain, something was telling me to be bold and brave and vote leave, and not be afraid of doing something difficult, that Britain needed to be bold and unafraid of the hard times it would give itself by leaving because in the end it would be glad that it had.

Altogether it seemed obvious that the Lord wanted me to overrule my head and let my spirit vote, for leaving the EU. So despite what my head said, I let the Holy Spirit guide my hand and I voted to leave!

Today when I woke up I was amazed and shocked, we have actually voted to leave the EU. I think the whole of my country is stunned, and it is the biggest political earthquake I can remember. It is a GLOBAL effect change to politics in the UK, Europe, and I think the world as it plays out in politics trade and economics. This could spell the end of the EU as the effects start to actually gradually affect the political senses of others in Europe that are discontent with the status quo. The leave vote was 17,410,742 – the odd two was obviously my wife and me! 🙂

The next line of that chapter in Revelation warns of death by the sword.

After I knew the result of the poll, the Lord showed me 4 signs about the referendum. He showed me that the Freemasons had been trying to influence the referendum. He showed me that Europe was an exhausted project. He showed me that despite the very rough ride my country will have as a result of leaving the EU, we can rely on His providence. He gave me a frightening sense of something very very bad that is going to happen in Europe, maybe a war or a genocide, a disease or some awful thing like backdoor involuntary euthanasia or abortions that will affect millions in Europe that as a result of leaving the UK will be spared from. I don’t know what it is or when, just that something awful is coming and the Lord has spared the UK from it by this tough and rather sad vote to part from the European political project. He said we had been set aside (The Lord has a great sense of words, as “set aside” is a European environmental scheme to save the environment). He said He has set us aside and saved us from this because there is work we have to do. I don’t know what that is, but it may be something to do with the fact that we are a defensible island and so also less susceptible to pandemics, something that has helped us many times over the centuries and Shakespeare, a great Briton (who also helped translate the Bible) knew and wrote of. Finally today the Lord gave me a sign of His covenant – a rainbow. When the Lord shows me signs they are literally signs. Please don’t think I am making like a big prophet – I don’t understand half this stuff and “I see though a glass darkly” as the Bible says – but I am just telling and showing you what He told and showed me, because I think He wants me to. Here are the signs He showed me:

Freedom always comes at a price, and there is little doubt that this price will be a high one, but the oddball, awkward, outsider, always brave, and the people of this island of very cool Britannia have decided it is one worth paying.

This royal throne of kings, this sceptred isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,–
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.
                                                                                        William Shakespeare

So I will end this post with the flag of my now rather more independent country, facing the world on its own two feet again for the first time in a very long time, like a person that has been in a semi-coma for the best part of 40 years, sleepwalking and becoming ever more dependant, suddenly having to learn to walk again. A new journey has begun.

UFO sighting – pentagram pattern in sky

A bit of a first for me – I have only ever seen one ridiculously tiny dot of a maybe UFO many years ago. This time was also teenyweeny and not exactly Whitehouse lawn alien invaders, but it was visible, I did get a still and a video, and later analysis showed something interesting. I don’t usually write about UFO’s and aliens. If you want to know what they really are, go look at Chuck Missler. There is a video about that below mine.

I was stretching my legs lunchtime in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, UK. The time was about 1pm. I was looking due East. I noticed a black roughly vertically cylindrical, flexible object hovering and drifting. It appeared very distant. There was no sound from it. The sound you hear on the video is process machinery at the plant where I was working that day. I only saw one object, but when I looked at my still photo in close-up I saw there were four more objects I had not spotted at the time. The object I originally spotted was near the shorter, further away cooling chimney. The objects seem to be arranged into a plausible pentagram shape. Pentagrams are symbols used by the devil. Well that’s no surprise because as Christian we know UFO’s are part of a demonic deception.

The four objects I had not originally noticed could, for all I know, be birds, but the one I watched and filmed definitely was not a bird, or a plane, or a helicopter, or a conventional hot air balloon or  a drone. It could have been some sort of weather balloon or a large piece of plastic waste caught up into the air. I dunno. Can waste plastic be part of a demonic deception – sure. The devil will do it any which way he can, he isn’t fussy. Why did God let me see this, I dunno, maybe just so I know what the devil’s UFO deceptions look like.

I took a photograph and a movie on my cellphone. No there’s nothing to see until you go close up, so the un-zoomed photo is just for context really. The annotated zoomed ones show what’s in the larger non-zoomed image. I used to be a professional photographic technician so yes I could fake this, but A) I’m Christian and lying isn’t my bag, and B) I really wouldn’t be bothered to do anything so tedious or singularly unimpressive. Here it is, honestly as I saw it.

Skulduggery

“Skulduggery” these days means underhand behaviour and deception. The word originates probably from a Scottish word for adultery. Adultery as well as being  sexual sin, also implies adulteration, the adding of an impurity to something wholesome for bad reasons. The word also offers a handy pun for this blog article…

Is it me?

No it isn’t. The world really is peppered with satanic symbols and it really is trying to push, ease, cajole and groom you stealthily through nasty little gateways into bad stuff.

So here’s what I found on just one popular culture website on one day – Cool Hunting website today – without even really trying hard.

SKULL image; PYRAMID image; GOAT-HEAD image; Invite to “BE GREEDY.”

An up-beat non-critical article about transgender options in virtual reality SIMS game, a similarly toned article about recreational Cannabis use (yes I do characterise this example as recreational not medical), and an article about getting orgasms from your music.

So, do we think this is a bunch of wholesome and healthy stuff that a Christian would feel happy to push out onto the world’s lifestyles?

Fortunately we know that the saved reborn are given eyes to see what the unsaved, sadly even when it is pointed out to them, cannot see. If you want to see what is really afoot in this world, you need to light of the world to see by, Jesus.

John 8:12 (KJV)

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
